one who specializes in classic tires is Cocker Tire in Chattanooga Tennessee,
but there is another in California I think. you might google first.

Lucas Tires in Long Beach CA offer anything you might want in this area. They also sell "White Wall" fakes that go on with your current tyres called "portawalls" and give the classic look. They fit under the bead of whatever you have on the car at the moment. Here is their web address;

Lucas Classic & Vintage Tires, wide white wall, Pirelli Cinturato, Goodyear, Denman, Lester, Universal

If it was the 50's Mark V, I might be persuaded, but an 86 XJ6 not convinced.

Any chance of a pic, photoshop, car show...?

We just don't see White Walls over here in Europe on modern cars.

Thanks.

I got to thinking about what Translator said and became curious of how an XJ6 would look with 3" White Walls, so I photoshopped one to get an idea what it would look like. I must confess I am not exactly convinced this works;

Now on the other hand, with a few small accessories and subtle changes, I think the look could work out after all!

LOL love it.

ie the pink one.

The other, nah...

Your challenge, should you wish to accept it, is a photoshop of a Mark V with white walls.

Many thanks.

PS agree the XJ6 does not work, blaaagh.

Thinner looks great. 1.5 inch is the regular. If you want, let me know if you would like me to photoshop some on a pic of your car. Just forward me a pic! I'd be happy to do it for you

Tastes vary, of course. I think a white *stripe* tire looks good on most Jolder ags. I'm talking about a white stripe maybe 3/8 inch wide

Cheers
