This photo shows the correct park position for the Series III wipers - and yes, the passenger side wiper (LHD) does overlap the stainless trim. This is a 1992 V12 Vanden Plas, car #92 of the last 100 built.

or you can use a 1" inch shorter blade on the overlapping side like I have in my car, One 16" blade and one 15" blade.

I also raised the farthest wiper to get a fast follow-up wiping action after the first. ( if that makes any sense?)

It makes perfect sense, Jose, if you drive your Jaguar in the rain. But why would you or anyone do that?😊

Gregory, because driving Jaguars in the rain at highway speeds is good, It's like a pressure wash under the car. Then when the rain stops it's like a car wash dryer. Life can't always be a Garage Queen, if you know what I mean.

I was thinking the same thing I spent a ton of time and effort getting my wiper switch to work correctly (all the positions do what they are supposed to do) fully realizing that since I never drive in the rain it was kind of silly to ensure they work perfectly.

Sov211 is the authority on how they came from the factory (overlapping the chrome trim) but I am with Jose that it looks better with a shorter blade that sits entirely on the glass. Bill, notice that Sov211's factory correct car has straight wiper arms and not angled. And they sit nice and flat.

Jeff, you never know, best to have those wipers ready. What if there's a flood and you have to evacuate the car under a Monsoon rainstorm? Mine is ready to fly, battery charged, tires to pressure, fuel for at least 400 miles, etc.

Daf11e, also a spare set of belts, spare tire up to pressure, a set of tools, bulbs, fuses, lubed jack, and most of the flat stuff fits under the rear seat, where there are two cavities suitable for belts, hoses, latex gloves, you name it.

The driver's side wiperarm does in fact have an angle at the end where the blade attaches - not immediately obvious in that photo, but it is there. Several other cars of mine showing the wiper position: First a 1990 V12 VDP:

Now a 1992 V12 VDP (#6/100):

Another 1992 V12 VDP:

Another 1990 V12 VDP:

While the above are all late V12 cars, the earlier LHD XJ6 models had the same wiper position.

My car has 1 angled wiper arm and 1 straight arm. It has been like that since I bought it.
