Default Wires and Pipes

Converting an engine-less 1974 Xj6 series 2 adding a 1985 series 3 engine, much of the change over is 1:1 but a few rogue wires, pipes and terminals have me puzzled. Computers are so much easier!
Six multi-choice pictures here.
1. pipe near power steering unit, seems to travel beside the brake lines and under car.

2. different connectors and number of wires on the boot link to the fuel tanks.

3. loose wires with no obvious target near battery area on passenger side.

4. fat terminal with blade connector beneath to right of starter motor bay on engine body. (sorry, couldn't get camera in enough for good picture)

5. when in series 3 car body i am sure a tube came from the brake master unit into this engine plug behind the air flow metre. the series 2 body the tube from the brake unit attaches to a brake line and travels under the car, so this plug is left orphan. what's its fate/function?

1. I'm not sure, but is that the fuel return line. After coming out of the fuel regulator, it travels across the front of the motor, and through the A/C fuel cooler setup then down the chassis rail along the brake lines.

2. maybe fuel senders? empty warning lights?

3.?

4. Possibly engine oil low pressure light. Does it screw into the side of the engine block?

5. If that fitting screws into the inlet manifold, I think its just one of many vacuum sources.

On a side note, be very careful of the crap/dirt on the throttle body, clean that but also make sure there isn't more of that throughout the inlet manifold.

picture 1. pipe seems to pump air when I pump the break pedal

picture 2. trying to figure out which/how i connect these guys

picture 4. that might make sense, cant see what to hook onto it tho

picture 5. i am certain a brake tbe went here but that was on a series 3 body, nothing on series 2 body for it

note about inlet take, i just put the air flow metre back the other day but shall remove again and clean the inlet more completely.

thanks-

brake booster, ok. the tube is series 2 while the engine series 3, the tbe is too short, maybe the plug was in a different position of series 2 engine. cant figure how I will make that reach.
but the logic figures, the engine plug connected directly to the brake master on the series 3 donor car and the series 2 body's rogue tube puffs air when the brakes are pumped so it does make sense.
~ thanks again

the diagram has been a Rosetta Stone for getting to understand the wiring, much easier than complex wire diagrams I have been mucking with, so thanks again.

photo one is almost certainly the brake booster so gone a longer 10mm tube to re-link to the series 3 engine below the mass air flow metre (image 5).

got the wiring figured largely for the tanks, but still have a series 3 tank wire white (for change over valve) with no link back to the engine from boot.

and if image 4. is a low oil sensor or such i dont appear to have any wiring to take it to the gauge or dash.

don't forget to refit the one way check valve into the brake booster setup

Usually all dash clusters have a low oil warning light, not a gauge but just one of the lights that goes red, evident on start up

"one way check valve into the brake booster setup" ?

ok, the short older tube i removed and replaced with a new one that was able to reach the engine plug was about 300mm long and about 50mm from one end is this-

if so, i can insert into the new pipe. i assume from picture one 1 that the valve sits closest to the engine.
