Anyone have a clue where I can obtain the material for this piece of trim ? No Moss does not have it ! Flexible chrome vinyl channel in the right size not easily found.

 

No specific suggestion. But if you Google "Chrome Edge Molding" you might be able to come up with a reasonably close replacement?

It's been so long that I don't remember where I got mine, but it's just as Doug's link shows. I got silver chrome.
It fits smugly around the plate, with a few notches to accommodate the curves and make it look OK (*Much* better than when it came to me!).
It would never pass Concourse but neither would the rest of the car! LOL

Couldn't think of calling it "Edge Molding" . Makes more scense in doing the search. I was using "1/8 inch flexible channel" ! Thanks to both of you & for the link.
5/16 seems standard for door edge. Might be a bit bulky but available at auto parts stores. Has been used before !

 

trv auto parts stores like NAPA, Autozone. Assuming you are in the USA.

look for the 3/16" finisher edging. ( 5/16" is used for door edges ). 3/16" is available.

I bought some many years from Outwater Plastics. google them, they have an incredible selection of plastic stuff.
