Default 4.0 exhaust downpipe

Can anyone tell me the torque setting for the 4 nuts that hold the downpipe with the round cats in to the manifold? My manual doesn’t tell me and I’m frighten of shearing a bolt. Thanks in advance.

Brinny, do you mean piece 1 in this diagram?

If so, you need the crushable washer 2, and you feel it give a bit as you do it up, and just do it nicely firm but not (to quote Grant) stupid tight. You can feel ti when the gasket gets firm and stops crushing.

Front discs to the hub? 45 lb ft will do it. The most important thing though, is checking for runout once the hub is on the stub axle. You should get less 2 thou or less at an inch or so in from the disc edge. If more, remove the disc, mark where it was on the hub, clean the surfaces (again) rotate disc 180 degrees on the hub and try again....

Firstly many thanks for your input and please allow me to explain. The settings you show are for the manifold to head. Greg new what I was after which was for the torque settings for the next section of the exhaust, if there is a setting for this I would gratefully accept it. Greg as I’m sure you know is a stalwart of this forum and if he can assist he will. That said it is people like you who offer advice and assistance that are equally valued by myself and many others and make this forum what it is. Thank you very much for taking the time to help.
