'93 --> '92 parts swap
Before we send the '93 to it's final resting ground, it could well be an organ (parts) donor.
Are the '93 and '92 pretty much interchangible parts-wise?
I'd like to pull some things like the factory chrome wire wheels, driver's seat, sound system, switches, convertible top, etc off the '93 and put them on the '92 that I'm looking to get.
Any problems with that?

I've never worked on that vintage XJS but I'm thinking there is a large degree of interchangability of parts between '92-'93.
If you have the time, space, and energy you should pick the car clean. Not only will the parts be useful to you in the future (hopefully) but used Jag parts usually move well on Ebay and some other owners would be grateful for the chance to buy them....especially electronics and easy-to-ship items. It helps keep other Jags on the road and puts a few dollars in your pocket.
Just my two cents :-)
Cheers

PS- the last Jag to have factory wire wheels was the E-type

It was a special order and VERY expensive ($3000) but you could get factory wires on the XJS (actually had the original sales receipt).
I have limited time and space, but I'll pluck some of the goodies off the crashed '93.

I'd like to see the sales receipt (I'm asking, not arguing). Can you scan and send? Or perhaps you can describe the details of it. Is it from Jaguar or from the dealer? Any part numbers?
If it was a genuine facory option then JCNA judges (like me) need the documention to amend the scoring guides.
Cheers and thanks,

Thanks for the interest, unfortunately the insurance co is going to be hauling it off the the salvager pretty soon.
I was reading one of my XJS books today and found that there is enormous interchangibility across the whole production run -- well, at least the HI models.

You're right. I checked the invoice. It wasn't a "factory" installation, but rather a special order through the dealership. It was kind of "fuzzy" because it was on the original window sticker.
