96 xjs wiring help needed
My xjs AC is not working. The light at the switch does not come on. Checked the fuses. There is no power at the compressor. Need to see where the power to the compressor comes from. Anyone have a wiring diagram they can share or point me to?
Unfortunatly, my experience is limited to the 6.0.
There are only two electrical connections that I know of.
One is to the compressor clutch and the other is an over pressure sensor.
Your system might not have the pressure protection of the 6.0.
I can also tell you that there are fail-safes designed to protect the system.
Either way, you should make sure both conditions are OK before proceeding.

No problem, That website has a lot of great material stored. Looks like they had grander plans for it, but I'll take what I can get!

You should still get a power feed to the A/C compressor clutch if you have the temperature set to cold . The pressure switch will not close to ground to complete the circuit if A/C gas is low.
You can also check the power to the clutch relay. Should have a permanent 12v with the ignition on and a 12v feed if the A/C is needed
