Default Adjusting Braking Pawl

Is there a way to adjust the rear instide brake pads by adjusting the parking brake pawl without removing the entire output shaft???

I think it is inacessible without undoing the four nuts that secure the driveshat flange/UJ to the diff output shaft. Then it is easy:

I removed the drive shaft and now readjusting the pawl. When I was unscrewing the slotted top bolt that holds the two parking brake pads together it started to crank the adjustment sprocket inside the pawl and actually adjusted the pads and corrected the issue. I would not have needed to remove the drive shaft to make the adjustment. Maybe I was just lucky.
