Not recommended by personal experience, but here is the JEC's recommendation:

How is the brake problem coming on Alex?
And as for the jacking idea, I am on tenterhooks!

Hi Greg

Bad News on the Brakes Front, even with a Brand New never been used still in the Box Master Cylinder, I still can't get it working, so I stopped posting about it at least until I somehow manage to fix it, if I ever do!

As for the Jack they loved the idea!

But that is all I can say

So maybe a Trip to China could be on the Cards

Hi OB,

Not sure if you are sorted yet but...

I have used Footman James for years. Renewed last June for £188. SD&P Comprehensive cover, 5000 miles annual limit, legal protection and agreed value of £11k. Car garaged at home and clean licence / no claims. Didn't shop around so there may be cheaper out there.

Never had to claim though which is the real test of any insurance.

Cheers,
LeeP

Hi Lee

Similar sort of quote my end, except She was off the road last year when I could have Insured her for £130 but now they've stuck an extra £60 on the Top of that, which I haven't taken up yet, as I am still Shopping around

Though in the event that I find a good deal, then I will let everybody know

Hi Robbo

Now you're Talking!

I have been with Lancaster myself but now my Insurance brokers appear to be recommending someone else, so maybe I should be looking for another Insurance Broker

(If you wouldn't mind sharing that info with me) either on here or PM

As for our Daily Drivers, its Performance Direct for me! about £100 for my Mercedes and it's hardly ever gone up!

Not sure if they are doing agreed valuation, I'll have to find out

Hi OB I go directly to Lancaster. I have tried others but Lancaster always seem to offer the best value.

Hi Robbo

Same driving history as yourself but my best quote was about £180

Maybe not Insuring my Car last year made a difference?

Hi Paul

Cheers!

That's a very nice thought, that I may like to take you up on

Though I would like to have stayed with my Broker, as I've been with them for years as that saves all the problems with getting a re-valuation and I was always happy with the premium

Up until now that is!

Hi Robbo@Paul (Ptjs)@Leep

Hi Guys

Got there in the end! £156 with an Agreed Valuation of £30k with Heritage

Though even 6 Months Road Tax costs more than the Insurance!

Thanks for your help

OB,

Sounds good!

I always feel that Road Tax & Insurance for our classics is cheap. Even 3000 miles in an XJS V12 is c£1500 in fuel.

Hi Paul

£1,500 in Fuel for 3000 Miles!

That sounds quite Astonishing! but that's a very handy Stat to have, as I never gave that a thought!

When I phoned up they Quoted me £176 but then they came down to £156 which was only £3.00 more than I could have got it for last year so I'm happy with that

So just got to get her MOT and then She'll be already for the Spring and so right now I'm wondering if that 780AH Battery that I bought for my 4.0L will also fit the Battery Tray of my XJS V12 (if you happen to know?)
