Those Phillips head screws are NOT stainless. I believe they were originally black oxide, based on the ones I threw out. If you are looking for Concours originality.

I went with stainless oval heads and stainless trim washers because the holes in the grill were kind of hogged out and round head screws just weren't going to guarantee security. I had the lower grill semi-gloss black powder coated as it looked bad, whoever resprayed the car just painted it body color over road crap. You can buy black stainless screws, but it wasn't worth the shipping costs to me

Note, the OEM screws are Pozidrive, not Philips.

Anyone know how this goes on? My car has only 1 hole in the centre, this grille has a threaded stud on either side.

My grill had three lower straight studs, no threaded studs. Did the grill come from different car?

its from an xjs 100% but from the condition and the fact its slightly different from my 1986 car, im thinking its from a 91/92 pr about there.

My XJS car is 1988. I checked, since the car in on the lift right now, and the two outer studs appear to be threaded 10-32. But, it didn't have any nuts on those when i took the grill off. I obviously didn't add nuts when i put it back on.

You can either cut the studs off, or drill two holes.
