I am wanting to replace the dash warning bulbs (all 20) with LED bulbs...so i can actually see them, particularly in direct sunlight. I have removed the instrument cluster, but still have no idea how to access the bulbs. Do I go in through the back, or through the plastic cover at the front? Also, what are the bulb model? I can't see it listed in the various manuals?!
Hi Phil, I used superbright B 8.5D, but I used 17, 3 regular for Ignition, check engine and sport. Also replace the 5 larger ones that illuminate the gauges 194- BCOB 1w Blue. Be sure to test the bulbs after you install might have some polarity issues and or contact issues, I used a small 12volt battery. The contacts are kinda fiddle. Hope this helps

Oh, that's brilliant! Thanks for that. So do you just twist the bulb holders from the back? I see what looks like a little "X" of sodder at each bulb holder and am a little afraid of damaging something.
Yes the bulbs just twist out 1/4 turn or so, be careful of the printed circuit, the copper is very thin, it is easy to test the bulbs once installed buy following the path of the contact back to the plug in . Buy the way the five larger bulbs make the biggest improvement for brighter gauges, use blue ones.
