I was wondering what the actual name was for the rubber plugs in the engine, there is one just under the head that i noticed is weeping some and i wanna replace it...but i cant figure what its called!!

it looks like a rubber freeze plug but i cant find it

 

You need to be a little more specific. Is this a V12 or I6?

If V12 are refering to the half round rubber seals at the back of the head behind the camshaft?

no it is a round seal at the front of the block just under the head.

 

If this refers to the rubber bung just above the curved casting which is part of the water pump, it is an access hole to release the timing chain tensioner, should it ever be necessary. Part number C 37925 Plug (chain adjusting).

New bungs are available, though getting the old one out needs care as they go hard and bits drop into the sump - though not dangerous if they do. A guy called Ron Kelnhofer makes lovely aluminium ones with a positive locking system. Much better and no leaks.
