I recently had my fuel tank out by a shop, they replaced my fuel pump and all hoses. When I got my car back, the fuel hose ended up, slipping off the pump after a couple of days of driving. I ended up figuring that out and getting the hose back on the pump, and putting on my own hose clamp.
Now it’s happened again, and I don’t know why this keeps happening. The fuel pump doesn’t have a barbed hose connection, but judging from others on rock auto fuel pump don’t seem to have a bar connection, and I can’t figure out why they would do that.
When I did put the hose back on the fuel pump, I did notice that the hose was extremely slippery. I don’t know if that’s because the wrong hose was used, I put dye in the fuel, or that’s simply the effect gasoline has on submerged rubber hoses.
Was SAE J30R10 hose used ? Lesser and most common FI hose is not rated for submersion in Gas and Ethanol and will break down rather quickly.
Also what fuel pump? It should have a barb.
I use this Walbro over sized pump, it's not a direct replacement but can be made to work with a few mods... The the point is that the right pumps have a barb like the one shown.

Just dropped off the car. Showed me a spool of 5/16” barricade hose he claims he used. I showed him pics of what’s in there and it seems that the gas either melted off the markings….or he used common hose….either way, he’s replacing it.
I did tell him Barricade is not submersible. He was surprised.
Well, the shop kept insisting on using Gates Barricade 4219BF, even though it clearly says not to use it in tanks. They say they never had any problems.
I ended up paying RockAuto $60 for 2 feet of Gates 27093 Submersible hose and the shop will install it... I'm not happy, but in the end, I have to get the car back, and this is warranty work, so there's no more charges.
I found some SAE J30R10 5/16" hose on Amazon for $11 for 10', but at that price difference, I had to assume something was not right. There was also one for $18 for 5', but I think paying more for the brand name here makes the most sense.

According to Gates' web site 27093 ecxeeds SAE J3010R, so you're good. Use a propper clamp and you'll be good to go for a long time. One possible prop[er clamp are the EOTINKER stainless steel crimp clamps as shown below.
