Ok guy's I asked this in another thread and I think it got passed over. So I'm Going to ask, Out Loud!!! Why do some of the XJS front seats have Exaggerated Side Bolsters and some are flat???

 

It was just a design change/upgrade. I can't remember the change point exactly ...VIN 148xxx or something like that....but it was in calendar year 1988; 1989 model year for USA cars

Huh, didn't know what the deal was, Mine has them, and I can see how they would help during hard cornering, so I thought they might have been an option that would be part of a performance or handling package. Like a lot of American cars have. Not sure if Jaguar does anything like that or not? Thanks for the info Doug.

PS. They make it a pain to get in and out of the car.
