Fuel Filter
I bought an OEM fuel filter from the Jaguar Dealership.
They gave me part #C2C35417
It looks similar, but doesn't match up according to Jagbits. I couldn't find that part # on JDHT either.
I installed it already, and the car seems to run fine.
SHould I have any concerns? Thanks.
BTW, I own a '96 XJS with the 4.0 engine.

Nah, Jaguar are well known for superceding part numbers, and the parts books will ALWAYS give you the first number ever used, then a string of "replaced by" will/may follow.
These changes can be due to upgraded products, or as simple as a different supplier, I know it sounds wierd, and it is, but thats the Parts industry, and I have been in it for 40+ years, a lot of that time with Jaguar.
The fact the filter fitted without any obvious stress on your part, I would say "Drive and enjoy", coz if it was wrong, you would have leaks??, or engine issues, which you dont I believe.
