Default The Grand Tour Amazon Prime Season 2 (XJS)

Not trying to plug Amazon Prime but it looks like a 1989 XJS Pre-Facelift at 0/28 in this Video

In a FB XJ-S Group someone has already decoded via the number plates that all 3 Jags in that episode were either totalled, confiscated, or involviert in other incidents. The condition isn't supposed to be best either.

This season we can expect a lot of Jags... XJ-S, XJ6, XJR, XK8/XKR, 420G/MK X, ...

If you have a really close look, you can just about see what looks like wires, for the on board Cameras that they probably had for filming

Oh definitely. I'm sure they're not going to toss decent ones down a mountainside. Still, if they have lots of Jags, I might actually watch it.

This season is as said rather Jag loaded. Also more modern ones. I assume the snow Video one will be the Xmas special...

I watched Episode 1 last evening and just before I nodded off I heard Jeremy Clarkson Suggest Jaguar was a big sponsor this season. Doesnt seem like Jag will be getting good value for money. Their younger, faster and sportier new market position doesn't seem well placed with a 2 thirds self described geriatric cast looking backwards.

In the montage of things to come this season I noticed an XJS, and XK coupe, and clip of an XJ6 Series 3 sedan being urged to accelerate.

After the montage it was all down hill. The usual overt sound effect, driving stunts and back lit exhaust videos were all there and familiar but the presentation seems phone in. Like their hearts were not into it and I could hear the show editors screaming 'cmon guys give me something to work with here.

This weeks guest was David Haselhoff, so blah and past it, and some other guy I've never heard of. Jeremy also made a disparaging remark about woman which was un-timely and not funny. I hope episode 2 is better. I've enjoyed the show for many years and hope they get past their health issues and make it a great season.

Yeah, this season start wasn't the best. But neither was last season. It picked up around the 3rd episode...

Wow, I can't believe how negative other people view the show. I consider it miles ahead of any of the automotive related trash you see on Velocity or Discovery channel.

I'm not sure how much of the camera and editing team was retained, but the production values are great. It's also great they listened to the audience and did away with celebrity brain crash and the American, but now the celebrities really come on (and to drive a Jag) and people complain about that. Can't win I guess. I'll just keep to myself and enjoy it lol.
