Default Interesting CL Find...

I don't normally like these "found" posts, but I couldn't pass it up :

CLASSIC JAGUAR XJS's-TWO FOR SALE

What makes this interesting is that it seems to be a v-12 that had a transmission swap to a manual at some point, presumably a while ago given the condition. I emailed the seller and got some more pics - definitely a manual / v12 combo, but pretty torn up on the inside. I figured I would throw this out there since it could make a budget friendly swap for someone rather than buying a t-56 or TKO-500, plus you get the whole car too!

Heh... nice find. What's that endless sucking sound I hear?? MONEY PIT

There's a guy in Houston who's been posting 3 XJSs in various states of disrepair / vandalism on craigslist for ~ 6 months or so. Some interesting stuff does pop up. Wouldn't mind a manual, myself...

wow, this implies that either of those are worth 3500 dollars. Ridiculous.

The manual tranny is interesting to say the least, but for 3500?? Nope.

Id rather shell out the bigger bucks for a brand spanking new t56 or tko than have an old manual just because its old.
