My 1994 XJS got it today
After much travel and stress on my wife, I pulled the trigger on a nice 1994 6 cylinder XJS.
Almost showroom condition. 67,000 miles. An ex-Jag mechanic had it and took really good care.
I am curious about one thing.
I had an 86 years ago, and really didn't pay much attention the the Face-lift cars till the last couple of weeks..so, can you tell by the photo, did they put on some blacked out tail lights? Looks so dark..and by the way reverse light is out. Will check the fuses if my wife ever brings it back today.
Glad the search is over, and am enjoying this nice Jag.
107 here today, by the way..NO air conditioning works well here with these temps.

Thank you for the replies.
Good to know someone didn't try to trick things out.
I don't really like that, but hey, it's there. Must have been a Ford thing.
Might do the headlight swap, but right now just enjoying searching for burnt fuses in 107 degree heat.
Found one! Back up lights. Off to Autozone.

@oktober
Congratulations and welcome to the club. The car looks great. Very nice color. The later 4.0 cars are probably the easiest to live with, should be much easier than your previous 86. Of course you will miss the V12.... :-)
And as everyone else has said, the lights are correct..... also note they are extremely difficult to find and expensive, so take car of them

I can see why. I believe on the darker cars, blacks and greens, the smoked out lenses seem fine. On the lighter color like yours, it does look out of place. I doubt you'll find any lens options, if anyone offered them, they wouldn't be so darn expensive for the few that can be found from parts cars...

Only place I know that I've seen of on the 'net is at v12sales.com.
Price page for body parts is here:
Jaguar Home Page
Part number for the taillight panel and lights is JM016-8
Link for pic (if it works):

Never bought anything from them, so I can't comment on quality or delivery time.

What you could do, is remove the end dummy lights and make it look like a UK spec car, that way you would still have an original car, but less black out lamps.

Hey how did you do that..thanks!
I'll stick with the smoked lights. Getting used to them now.
Got a set of headlights to install..the US type. I'll post the change when I get them in.
Also, got the hoodliner from Gonzo. Just need to pull the bonnet, and stick it on.
Some small oil leaks front and rear. Our dry climate most likely fried them. Shouldn't be a big deal.
Oh, tinted the windows. Dropped the interior temp big time!
Lovin the car and appreciate all on this forum. Very helpful.
