Default Power steering pump belt removal

The tensioner I understand. But I cannot figure out what else I need to loosen. There is a bolt/nut that goes across the two mounting brackets I can see from looking down, but its not a pivot. Perhaps the only way I can get to the pivot is from under the car? I do see a fastener below the lower most hose on the pump - Is that it? It looks like a nylock

Looks like one of the GM style pumps, that whole bracket should pivot - you can't turn the correct bolt from the front it is kind oif keyed, I think that nut is the one but you need to peek at the front there is an ally bracket mounted to the block, the PS Pump pivots at the bottom of that.,

Thank you so much! That indeed is the pivot I was looking for and I can now move along!
9/16 swivel socket and long extension and loosed easily.

I can get mine to pivot a bit but not enough to get the belt off easily. I always end up taking the pulley off. Its not the official way, but you may need to do the same.

You need to loosen:
  1. the bolt holding the pivot block the adjuster goes through
  2. the pivot at the bottom of the pump
  3. the nut on the stud that holds the banjo end of the adjuster
  4. the adjuster nuts
You may even have to remove the adjuster rod completely. Then the belt should JUST be able to be removed/fitted.

I’ll try to remember that. It’s been several years since I’ve had to do anything with it though.
