preformed fuel lines, availablity????
While removing the rear cage on my 93 xjs to replace the inboard brakes, rotors etc. I decided to change out the fuel filter, to my surprise, all the brake lines from the rear to the front of the car are rusting away. I can rub chunks of rust off the outer surface of the lines, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time till I have a gas leak.
I was wondering if there is a company that sells preformed brake lines for my 93 xjs conv. or will I just have to buy straight brake lines and bend them to fit. Also has anyone ever had this job done at a shop and if so, about what is the cost. I really don't want to do it myself while laying on the garage floor, but I'm also under a tight budget, so if it is to expensive, I will have to do it myself.

They *might* still be available new from Jaguar. I'd call some of the known Jag vendors: Coventry West, Motor Cars Ltd, etc.
If the bends are not too complex or tight you could buy the turbes and bend it yourself, as you mention.
There are lots of outfits who specialize in this work. I reckon most every decent sized town has someoneone who does it: an industrial supply company, for instance.
Cheers

In my neck o' the woods this shop does customer pipe and tube fabrication. I know there are many others.

If you could do without the car for a few days you could send 'em what you've got and they'll send nice shiny new stuff back...a perfect match.
