Default Radiator blanking plug thread size

I am considering a small modification to the radiator bleed system. To do this I need to use the LHS bleed plug female threaded fitting on the top of the LHS tank of the radiator: V12 1985 model.

This blanking (bleed) brass plug has a Whitworth sized hexagonal, and quite a fine parallel thread. I need to know what size and type of thread it is. Anyone know please?

Thanks
Greg

Greg,

Memory, this will be good, haha, is 7/16NPT. It is n odd thread, apparently COMMON in the States, but not here.

I think I have info somewhere in the shed, but with the numerous boxes of Mongrel Rover bits filling the shed it will be fun to find, but if you need it, so be it, I will dig around.

Its OK, thank you Grant, no need to turn over the garage. It is 1/8 BSPP (BSP parallel, not tapered), as is the banjo bleed thread on the RHS rad tank . Actually, 1/8 NPT willl fit, but a tad looser than the BSP.

After much searching on the Google, I have found the fittings I need.

Greg
