Default Strange behaviour in damp conditions

Yesterday I drove my 86 XJ-SC in the rain for the first time. For the first time ever, everything seemed to be working. The wiper self-parking has started working AND the heater works (and by that I mean regulating at the right temperature instead of sitting at full cold or full hot and refusing to move).

Would be a good day to buy a lottery ticket.

Could it be that Jags work best in the conditions in which they were originally born? (gloomy and damp)?

Absolutely.
Don't ever expect to repeat the experience.
Just tick it off everyone's bucket list on this forum.
Drove my Jag and it didn't break.
Lucky sod.
