Default Transmission dipstick tube

All:

This picture is focused in on the transmission fluid level dipstick tube. It appears that this is supposed to be firmly attached at this point via a bolt & nut, but mine is missing the nut. Is that right? All I need to add is a nut & lockwasher?

Thanks,

Brad

Looks like I'm missing a nut & lockwasher?

The dipstick tube is 2 pieces and this should be fixed or the dipstick could come apart.

I have just looked at this when removing my gearbox. That bracket attached to the lifting eye bolt should have a captive nut on the underside, then a 7/16ths socket on a wobble bar will undo the short bolt fixing the tube to it, allowing the top section of the tube to be lifted/wriggled out. It looks like your bracket has lost the captive nut. An ordinary nut and bolt will hold it fine, but getting it on will be a pain!
