Default Trunk Strut

Ok Guys, next on my list to replace is the Struts, I think that's what it's called. It's the 2 rods that hold the trunk lid open.
I've seen that they are purchased separately but then i've also see one that has a lock. I am assuming i need one that locks so that I don't get beaned in the head.
Where do I find a part number so that i can get the right one.

Hi Pendax7

On the assumption that we are talking about a 1995 XJS 4.0L

The Strut with the 'Lock' is for the Bonnet/Hood

While the Struts for the Boot/Trunk don't have locks

BDC 4279G

VIN 179737 to VIN 226645 £15.95 each Two Required

You can get these from British Parts have a look at the Link Below

Struts for the Boot/Trunk 1995 XJS

I bought mine from amazon and they work beautifully on both my XJS and XJ40
