Default It is WTF Day - Metal Falling Out Of The Door
As I am closing my door, a clonking sound of metal hitting the ground. Now I have this wonderful piece of broken-off metal in my pocket.

What the heck is it? Can I easily replace it?

And it is only Monday ...

OK. I found it. It is the hinge spring.

You beat me to it, mine fell out 2 years ago now the driver door tends to shut when I open and let go of it.

New hinge from a scrapper is the easiest way to go. Easy being relative!
