Default XJS 4.0 front coil springs

To all 4.0 owners. There are no UK manufacturers of replacement front coil springs, and cannot find any in the USA either. I have sourced custom made springs to the exact OEM specification. I can get a better price for higher quantities. Anyone in the world interested??? Likely price per spring without delivery cost will be 100 GBP, and could be better if I generate enough interest

Default Front Coils

Just for what it's worth,
Last fall, I replaced the four rear coil springs with shocks in my 89 V12 XJS, which raised the read approximately 3/4".
I just yesterday ordered a set of FRONT springs from Captain Jaguars in the US, and could also have gotten them ftom Paul's Jaguar in the US. -There were a set on E-Bay last week also.
I'm not sure if the springs are lighter for the 4.0 or not, but what I needed is still out there.

The I6 and the V12 have different front springs the Jaguar part numbers are different. King springs in Australia make XJ front springs for Chev conversions - these might be suitable for I6.

Thanks Greg and Warren for your input.
I agree Greg, and I could buy front springs for all V12 models from a variety of sources in the UK, BUt no one sells for the I6 models

Just done a check and springs are listed for my model/year. Don't know where made.

What year/part number are you trying to get?

Curious, I found a number of companies that show the part as available both in the US and England.

This outfit lists the springs at 58 quid each. JLM11310 Front Road Spring XJS Sports Coupe Convertible From V 179737 Up to V 226645

Worth a punt?

Cheers,

Allan

Thank you Allan, and it gets better - that price is for a PAIR!

All the Jaguar parts suppliers, here in the UK, have them listed and around the same price! (JML10920, JML11310 and RTC2751)

Hi. So what do we think of the sports pack and extra sports pack. The extra sports pack is what these are. What's the plan , do I go for it or not. Hate to be hitting bumps again in six months.they are aftermarket. Do I go or not . Philip

Hi. Fitted shocks today. Need special tool to fit springs, going back in when tool arrives. New shocks have given me half an inch more clearance. Thought when I got in it that it might be more, because it feels better. Will post when springs go in. Glad I did it.
