Default XJS in the movie Stoker

Hey all, for those that are interested, our XJS Jag was featured in the 2013 movie Stoker with Nicole Kidman.

It is a green convertible 95 or 96 XJS and is an integral symbol throughout the movie. First time I've ever seen our XJS featured as a main car in a movie. The Jaguar was used in the movie, “to signify the predator motif he wanted to bring to the film”.

Very cool to watch, but be warned it is rated "R".

It is a 1996 because the seat piping is a different color then the seat material. They put wire wheels on the car which were not original. If you want to see a 1995 XJS used almost throughout a movie grab a copy of the movie " Trail and Error". It stars Michael Richards and Jeff Daniels. I recommend getting a copy from your local pawn shop that sells DVD's and should be available for one or two dollars. Really show cases the face lift XJS with many many shots of the car. Nice to see the car on the big screen. The movie is actually pretty funny to boot.

Awesome thanks for the tip! I have a 96 and it was fun to see my car on the big screen. Especially as it was used. The movie was shot with the car as a symbol throughout. Like a statue of a jaguar is shown in the beginning to symbolize a silent sexy lethal predator. And the Jag itself is shown throughout with shots even of putting a body in the trunk.

I watched it. I did enjoy the movie. It was very artistic and literary. The acting and writing was very well done. It was similar to a Hitchcock movie. Mystery, suspense, thriller. However, be warned for the faint of heart it was also a twisted movie. I don't think everyone will like this movie. But it is fun to watch the XJS.

I always enjoy seeing XJS' on the big screen. I liked the way they used the 96' in "Stoker" and enjoyed watching the movie. The movie was a bit odd at times but was well made and acted IMO. Thought it was cool they picked the XJS to be the silent co-star. The XJS just has a certain presence to it.
