Default XJS related Christmas presents

OK Guys
What did you get or buy for someone to give you?
I got
New Magnacore HT leads
A half inch diameter convoluted fuel pipe for the last finishing touch to my fuel system in the boot
A special 1/4 inch drive, long 3/16th Allen Key socket, to enable easy removal of my throttle capstan when I do the plugs.
I fully expect Santa to turn up soon to deliver a lovely Rob Beere stainless oil distribution pedestal and cam feed pipes:

Don't say you don't want one!"

OOOOOH.

Yes please, i want one.

BUT

What would I do with it.

The whole thing looks bigger than the engine in the X Type.

I really doubt it would plumb up easily, but then it is a Jag, and nothing is easy is it.

Time for more drinks, thanks Greg,

Greg, that does look tasty! Maybe really worth doing mine right now too, as the engine is out, I doubt it'll be any easier to change!

Got a link to the parts?

Tasty, yes, but it looks like a $300 cure for.....what disease?

Maybe I'm missing something, which isn't unheard of!

Cheers

Doug, an analogy:
Jewelery is not a cure for anything, but it makes them look even lovelier.

And in this instance, it means the risk of shattering the pedestal is greatly reduced when the senders need changing. But really, this is the last piece in my collection of bits for my engine rebuild, which the car does not need, but I intend to do when petrol gets so expensive my pension will not run to it and I have to stave off boredom. I have brand new heads, valves, valve springs, tensioner, rods, shells, oil pump, studs, a top notch engine stand, etc etc etc all in stock tempting me!

In an XJS they cannot be done engine in car. The A bank cam feed banjo is too close to the bulkhead for removal is loosened, and impossible to get a spanner on to loosen it!

I removed the LH and put the banjo back.

RH looks tighter.

Was wondering if tipping the engine forward from the rear would give more space...? Jacking up at the trans end,,, but I don't know what might need undoing to allow it to move/tip enough, if it were even possible.

Then I heard someone mentioning denting the fire wall just enougjt to back the bolt out.

It's a good question.

well I managed it on my '87. I'll admit it tested my patience severely..but definitely done and with no leaks.
