2007 issues
I bought my '07 a few weeks ago, with 30k miles. I had a PPI and a post-purchase service for fluids, filters and general inspection. So far the big issue for me has been battery drain, and this seems like a problem for many XKs of this era. New battery on its way, and I'm using a CTEK battery maintainer on the current one. The post-purchase inspection showed cracks in the front ball-joint boots but the ball-joints themselves were clean. I plan to have them replaced after winter layup.

I bought my 07 back in April with 72,000 miles. I have had a couple of things to deal with. First, I had only 1 FOB and it was damaged. Replacements are about $250 each, and certain VINs from 2007 used a single-channel FOB, which took the dealer a few tries to figure out.
Over the summer, my check engine light came on with a code indicating a lean fuel mixture due to? ?? We changed the T-stat, but the light came back a week later, so I had the spark plugs replaced and the fuel injectors removed and cleaned. Under $1000 for all of that, but not by much.
I flipped the rear diffuser inside out (XKR) while traveling at a speed that may have been at or over the limit. ; ) This part on the XKR can be found, but starting at about $500 for a molded plastic part. I have cobbled mine back together and reinstalled, but haven't had a chance to road test yet.
The most recent, and maybe most aggravating thing, is that while driving on a different stretch of road, similar speed, the growler on the front grill fell off. I'm assuming from vibration. The badge, and the chrome circle that it mounts in all came off somewhere, in one piece. This assembly bolts in from behind the grille, which requires removal of the skid plate and/or bumper to access. Once I get the badge in my hand, I'll attempt that repair.
Next thing on my list is to replace the transmission and diff fluids.
This cat has been more fun than all previous rides I have owned. By a lot. I fully intend to drive it into the 150K and beyond range. Maintenance is required, but cheaper than car payments.

The ZF 6HP26 gearbox should be serviced at 100,000 km/60,000 miles or five years with a new pan/filter and fluid. If this hasn't been done, it should be done immediately due to the age of the vehicle. Change the brake and differential fluids as well if there's no proof in the service records.
Replace the water outlet containing the thermostat if it's a normally aspirated engine as they are prone to failure as is the return hose from under the inlet manifold to the EGR valve. If you have the supercharged version, replace the hoses under the supercharger for the same reason.
The upper part of the dashboard fascia can be problematic as it can separate causing the leather to pull away from the fascia. Check the headliner for separation as this is also a common issue.
Check the RH footwell for dampness as the early X150s can have a blocked drain from the air conditioning evaporator.

The diffuser for the 5.0L cars runs more expensive for some reason.

The diffuser in the 07 parts diagram shows that it fits cars w/o 'R'. Those are about $50 and don't look like the part on my car. Mine looks more like the version on the 5.0 diagram.
The part number is C2P8245 for a 4.2 XKR.
Google it, they call it a lower extension as it extends below the bumper.
Check various sites, youll find it for $50 or less.
See my post #23 in this thread for a picture of what I bought (the parts diagrams are pretty useless for this part):

On a side note, my cheesy repair held up at 105, so I don't have to get in a hurry to replace it. I'll do it over the winter.
Beautiful car
One is not starting you can buy new battery and be ok for a few days and back to not wanting to start due to the key fob need to replace battery every 6 months and your good this is my daily driver just took a 800 mile trip no problem will make the same trip tomorrow again very comfortable ride.
Anything can happen with a 14-year old car. The most common complaint by X150 owners is how hard it is while driving to wipe that big smile off your face!
My headliner separates at the windshield and folds back every time I hit the button... Sorry
