2007 XK air filter replacement
Joel,
I doubt it will be noticeable performance wise.
Jaguar always does an excellent job on intakes (except for access on XK's!) and exhaust systems; hard to improve OEM, other than sound.
But you are having fun, right?
Cheers, Adrian

I thought K&N didn't make a properly fitting air filter for the XK??????
Let us know if it fits. Just undo the front inner fender bolts, up until you can peel the fender well back to clear access to the filter.

I researched this a year back(actually called K&N) and at that time they did not make a filter for the 07-09 model XK.
What number did you get?

oooOOOooooo I'm excited to hear this!
Let us know when you get it installed and that it is actually correct.... I'll order mine as soon as you report back!
I see summit racing has them for $40!

tip of the day=When your cleaning or using the k&n for the first time-just put a fine, light mist of the oil on the filter. Just one pass of the spray. Alot of people spray a ton of the oil on the filter & the oil ends up getting into & destroying the MAF sensor=$$$$$.

However: K&N's Response to this urban myth
Joel,
I've attached a coupe of relevant diagrams from the Workshop Manual.
First one is the overview of the system: the air filter assembly is #6
The second picture is looking up inside the LH wheel arch.
I found it easiest to remove the wheel. There are about 10 or 12 Torx bolts to remove, and a couple of crosshead screws too, then gently pull the liner out of the way. Then 1 or 2 screws on the filter box, and a 'tray' with the element in it wll slide out.
Yeah, its a pain - and the XK-R has one on each side.....
