2008 XK with 5600 miles. Should I hold my breath?
So my XK has been trouble free since the day it was born and bought in the spring of 09
It is a 2008 with 5600 miles on it.
Is there anything I should expect to have to deal with in the near future?
It only gets about a 1000 miles of driving a year so I'm hoping it lasts me the rest of my days
What kind of experiences have you forum members had with the 08 model?

I bought a 2007 XK in February of 2010 with 5826 miles on it. I sold it yesterday with 58k.
I had an extended warranty and never had to use it. In all that time, the only thing I had to replace was tires, a battery, windshield wipers and one coil pack. I would suggest however that you find a good independent mechanic and avoid the dealer when possible. They get $110-$120 for oil and filter change and Firestone will do it for under $50. Good luck.

I drive a Dodge Ram daily for work, my wife has a Jeep as a daily driver, I also have a convertible Corvette so the jag is kind of a lets do something special today driver. Love the car, in fact it is the most amazing vehicle I've ever driven and I find dry days and excuses for "she and me" time keep every trip behind the wheel a joy.
The Corvette really has to go because splitting the dry day driving between the 2 of them makes no sense really.
Only hold your breath if you do not maintain the car. These are reliable machines but do need maintenance.
Fluids should be changed on a schedule whether you drive the car or not as they do deteriorate with time. The battery should also be on a battery maintainer with such low usage.

Actually the Vette is quite an amazing car. Multi show winner and exciting as can be to drive, but yes she has to go!
