Default ABS module reprogramming for XK 2009

I own a Jaguar XK convertible and just replaced the ABS module with a used one.
When trying to reprogram the module it tells me that VIN routine failed as it’s different from the original VIN configuration
is there a way around this?

Am no expert on such things but the replacement ABS will be paired to the previous car, only a dealer can reflash the unit to work as don't think this is possible yourself, guessing your nearest dealer would be Beirut?

Others may chime in and say i'm completely wrong!

You need Jaguar WDS or SDD to configure the replacement module. Not necessarily at a Jaguar Dealer but finding an independent with the necessary diagnostics could be a problem.

Ditto, Fords and Lincolns from that era are the same.

SDD cannot overwrite the VIN in an X150 ABS module.

So used ABS modules are useless? Is the only option a new module?

reprogramming a used ABS module did not work. Instead I was able to repair the old one and it works perfectly fine now!
A Technician replaced a couple of damaged parts....
