Default Adaptive Dynamic Mode Fault

Hi,

Anyone get a dynamic mode fault? I had H&R lowering springs installed yesterday and now I'm getting the error code "adaptive dynamic mode fault" and the dynamic mode is not working. The Installer reset the height sensors to factory but the code is still there. If I clear it will the dynamic mode start again?

If you get a fault after someone has made a change then it appears something was missed or hooked up wrong during the installation. I would go back to the installer and have them recheck their work. Also erase the codes and see if it comes back. Where there any other codes?

No other codes. I'm bringing it into the dealer next week to clear the codes. Hopefully it will be a simple fix.

There shouldn't be any codes when lowering. Only issues may arise is with the adaptive cruise control. What wheel size do You have? That could be the issue as well or they didn't plug the dynamic dampers back in.

Check the connectors on the body height sensors in the wheel wells as well.

Default update to H&R lowering springs 2013 XK

So I brought my XK to the dealer and they cleared the codes but the adaptive dynamic fault code came back. Now they can't figure out what's going on. The H&R Springs website says the srpings lower the car approx. 1.3 inches but the suspension shop said my car was lowered 1.6 inches after install. I'm thinking that's too low and the dynamic mode is seeing it as the car bottoming out. It rides like a brick right now. Does anyone know at what point does the dynamic mode bottom out? Does it have 1.5 inches of play for example? If I added spacers would that help? The dealer has me scared I ruined the car.

What was the outcome of your dealer diagnosis? I have the adaptive dynamic warning after having a coolant tank replaced and wonder what I'm looking for.

The suspension shop blew out all four of my shocks. I had to replace the right rear strut to get my adaptive mode back. $400 lowering springs caused $5k in damage to my suspension. The worthless dealer, San Diego Jaguar, was stumped after a week and literally kicked my car out of the garage. I had to take it to another shop that specializes in modifying high end luxury cars and exotics. They figured it out in 5 seconds, replaced the strut and I have been good ever since.

I'm not sure what relation a coolant tank is to the dynamic mode but maybe you have a separate issue all together.

I also replaced all 4 shocks about 2 weeks ago, but did not have the warning at that time. Will have to check all connections.
Thanks

I had a coolant hose replaced, drove home. Next day started up and the adaptive dynamic code came on. Did you ever find out the cause?

Sanibel0402,
We must have found it because I don't have it any longer. I just can't remember what it was. When I'm at my mechanic later this week I'll see if he remembers.
Thanks.
