Air Bag Light
A quick fix, no. A common cause of this symptom is a failing "clockspring" mechanism in the steering column - and this is not an issue limited to Jaguar's. The fix: replacing the clockspring, which is a dealer job.
The air bag can be tricky to remove as there is two clips holding it in place (I've got a write up on how to remove it)
From there you'll need a 10mm Allan key and fairly large breaker bar

I had the same problem. Not a quick fix, not inexpensive. Brought it to my local independent Jaguar guy and he couldn't fix it. Brought it to the Jag Dealer. The Code was a B-0002-1B, drivers frontal stage airbag circuit open. The repair was to replace "cassette reel/module". Don't know what this actually meant, but the repair was $510! Works fine now.

I’ve got a quirk with my passenger seat wiring that can cause the air bag warning to illuminate. It has to do with the wiring under the seat. Mrs. LHR is under strict instructions NOT TO MOVE THE DANG SEAT! It’s a flawed, but functional approach ... for now.
When I bought mine, it also did this for weeks. Eventually I found a position for my steering wheel in which the clockspring didn't mess with this. I also got it checked by a dealership to make sure it wasn't an actual issue of course!
So the cause of the airbag light illuminating on your car was a faulty clockspring...yup. The original poster seems to have disappeared without telling us what the problem was found to be. Frustrating. An acknowledgement of the suggestions made in response to questions is an expected courtesy, no?
