Amber warning light…
Hi, I had a new main battery fitted to my XK two weeks ago at the main dealer. Now, I’ve got an amber engine warning light.
so I checked the new battery and found the Neg terminal so loose I could take it off!
would this cause the warning ?
Booked it in for a diag check, at £240 per hour!!
any advice please?

I will add that, if there was no amber warning light before the battery install, that is most likely what caused it.
Can you just tighten the negative cable? Might be easier than a trip to the dealer.

Many auto arts dealers can and will read codes for you. It’s worth a trip to get an idea of what you are up against

All, thanks for your replies it was all down to the poorly fitted Neg connection.
dealer sorted it and reset the light, which was letting me the MAF sensor was faulty!
always check the battery first!
