Default Blue Ridge Parkway last week.

Epic drive from Sylva NC to Roanoke VA. Before the Florida leaf lookers clog the road at 15mph and after the monsters are back in school is the best time on the BRP. I left ATL at 4:30am to get onto the parkway before sunrise. I was in heavy fog while climbing and suddenly I was above the clouds on a brisk sunny morning. You need to make this drive once in a lifetime. Over 400 miles of epic asphalt.

Great Pictures.
And Yeah, that's a large part of why we live here.

Just happens that there was a show on last night GPB (Georgia Public Broadcasting) about BRP: A long and winding road. Covered the construction of the road in the 30's and the different access points in North Carolina vs. Virginia.

Happy Motoring

Very nice photos! Ah--living in the Blue Ridge mountains. I sometimes forget the beauty since I see it most everyday. Here's a couple shots from my office window in my home.

They dont make them like they used too... despite it being "past its time" the XK is still the most beautiful car I have ever seen... Bottom line is we have wonderful cars that will stand the test of time and turn heads on people that are not even conceived today!!

Beautiful part of the country. Will need to do some research on it and try to get down to see it.
