PM me if you'd like that TSB and procedure.

I'll take it. Thanks

I bought a set of R emblems, and stuck them on with black goop. Looks pretty good, I should give the calipers a quick paint job though... Sorry for the blurry pic, but you get the idea.

Default 2008 XKR Stereo System Upgrade Needed

I would like to have a stereo system that includes satellite radio, yet have all of the bells and whistles that I have with my stock stereo unit that came with the vehicle. I believe the "09" forward have the XM Satellite feature.

Does anyone have any suggestions..or know of any specialty shops in my area. I'm in the Wash DC/ MD/ VA area..

That's funny. I have a 2007 XKR and on my screen there is a selection for Satellite Radio. Also, the dealer showed me the id for my radio. I only purchased the car last week and haven't switched over my XM yet but I am pretty sure it will work. That would be odd that you don't have it too. My car supposedly had the upgraded radio purchased with the car. Perhaps that's why mine has it.

In the 2008 XK/XKR US Brochure it lists the 'Alpine Premium Dolby ProLogic' sound system AND the Sirius Satellite Radio as Optional for both cars.
That implies they were seperate, but all the cars I viewed had both 'bundled' together.

Although they are now the same company, the last time I called Sirius/XM they hadn't combined their billing systems, and couldn't combine or transfer from one to another.

Note to Friendly Mods:
Perhaps these last few posts should be 'spun-off' into a new thread - they're not that related to Brake Calipers !

Two years later, and I still have not gotten my brakes done, nor have I repainted the "R" logo on the caliper logo plates. Any idea if there is an .eps file available for this, since there doesn't seem to be a part number available for the front calipers?

The front is C2p12427 and very inexpensive or you could buy my complete set of R calipers and rotors with only 4K miles on them

Replaced the R-logo plates on my front and rear calipers the other day. 2011 R Coupe. Small detail, but I feel worth the expense.

are these still available?
