But if you have the XKR, you have driver AND passenger side filters. I do mine leaving the wheels on and removing... I think... nine (?) fasteners and pulling the inner fender away. More than enough room if you turn full-lock one way for one side and full-lock the other way for the other side. Can't remember which way for which.

I've been a DIY'er for better then 55 years and for the most part enjoyed it. In the early days it was to save on labor costs but as I got older it became more of a hobby. Dealers have a lot of overhead costs to cover so if they can convince someone to have "while you're in there" items to get done they will do it. After all they are there to make money and I believe there are a lot of Jaguar owners who only service their cars at the dealer. I don't want to justify their prices or their work and as I mentioned they work/charge the repair book prices . All dealer tech's are measured by their ability to meet or beat the book repair time. Same with parts you pay for the name on the box and a dealer will never install aftermarket parts because of the liability . It benefits all who want to DIY and save by aftermarket parts so my hats off to those who do this. Sometimes it's a good stress reliever and maybe fun. The older I got my time has become more precious so if I can play golf or enjoy family and friends working on the weekend ride is not a priority. Will I still do an oil change or replace some filters I would say maybe. Will I rebuild my engine or replace a transmission probably not. So for those who enjoy DIY no problem and for those who use a dealer or indie no problem but just watch out for what they want to get you to commit to. Most of all have fun as life is short.
