Covertible top totally dead,,, where to start?

Default Covertible top totally dead,,, where to start?

Had to replace battery , took out old battery , installed new one,, and now top is totally dead,,
no warnings,no nothing,,hit the top switch and nothing happens and you hear no clicks..
No codes, no lights on dash about it,,nada,,
Tried disconnecting battery and reconnecting ii to reset everything and nothing,
So where do I start?

According to the owners and workshop manual, the windows must first be re-programmed. The position of “fully closed” must be registered.

First, make sure that your battery is fully charged. Remove fuse F8 between the rear seats, and then reinsert it. Then reset the front windows as described in your Owner's Guide. If you're lucky, that'll restore your top operation.

If you weren't lucky, you'll have to follow the manual top reset directions in the Owner's Guide.

These threads should be helpful. Pay attention to the advice from Forum member WhiteXKR. Steve is the soft top expert and inventor of the remote control top accessory with rear window controller. It's what the factory forgot.

Try holding the top switch for a minute or two, see if it comes to life.
