Do I need to use fuel additive in XKR
I just turned 1000 miles on my 2013 XKR coupe that I purchased in May. The car is fantastic and gives me a thrill every time I drive it. I drive the car when weather permits and where I know I can park it without worry. I leave the car hooked up to my CTEK 3300 charger to keep the battery ready.
My question is do I need to treat the fuel between drives?

If you were closer I would say that you need a co-driver not fuel additive but as was stated so long as you're replacing the fuel every 2-3 months you should be good. I also wouldn't leave it too empty for long periods as it allows more moisture to go to town on the inside of the tank.

Even the much hated E10 fuel is good for six months and there's no additive that's proven to be required or to do much.
six months would be too long whether or not ethanol is involved, but especially if ethanol is involved.
six months is the same as putting it away for the winter in which case the precautions taken should be the same.
there are additives with proven track records for specific purposes such as cleaning injectors on older cars or stablising fuel for storage.
they just aren't required for the purpose stated in the original post.

Naw, no need for any sort of treatment. I tend to stick to Tier 1 fuel producers myself, just because it's relatively convenient and overall a good idea. The ECU will adjust for lower octane fuel if you feed it that, but you lose HP if you don't feed it premium -- and it's actually noticeable. <cough> Yes, I did go through a tank of 87 just to see.
