Hi, a couple of weeks ago my engine totally broke down due to a sudden reduction in oil pressure while going fast on the highway. According to my mechanic it is not repairable.

Where could I get an engine that I could install in my 2008 XKR? Ideally in Europe (I live in Czech Republic)

Does anybody know someone who could sell me an engine?

Car breakers (dismantlers, aka scrap yards etc) will have them. A web search should work then contact them.

Sorry to hear. Did the car run low on oil?
its easy to do on our cars , since no warning lights

 

Did it seize ? Does it turn over (crank) Is there a bottom end knocking noise ? Was a compression test conducted by your mechanic

 

The AJ89558 engine on those has been discontinued by Jaguar, but you can still find parts and blocks out there in some places.

Go to market place pretty sure I saw a drive line set up (tran & engine) for 5k however please be certain your engine is completely toast before moving on (comp test)
