Garage door opener
Just replaced my 26 year old LiftMaster garage door opener. The installer advised me that due to LiftMasters use of a different frequency band, my 2013 XK inbuilt opener button can't be programmed to control it.
Anyone else here dealt with this issue? Always on the lookout for the most complex solution to problems, I'm thinking there must be a "frequency band shifter."

There is such a thing. It's referenced several times in at least one thread in this forum and can be found using the SEARCH function.
The Google can also find many of these things.

Like mentioned, I bought this Homelink Repeater/Bridge Jagtoes has pictured several years back when I also updated my Garage Door opener and couldn't get my XK homelink to pair. This device works like a charm.
Thanks, guys! The installer did say LiftMaster had an add-on device but didn't speak highly of it. Perhaps he was afraid I'd ask him to make it work
I'll get one and give it a try.

Did you try this procedure yet? It has an extra couple of steps and was the only way to get all three of our JLR products to work.

I ultimately found it easier and less aggravating to carry around the garage door remote than to program the X150 opener. I do have some extra add-on crap for liftmaster that I wish I hadn't purchased...
I have a 2015 Jaguar XKR, and a newer LiftMaster 8500W Garage door opener. I had to buy a LiftMaster 855lM Homelink Repeater Kit, mentioned above by Jagtoes. I followed the instructions from the Jaguar owner's manual, and on 2015 cars, you have to have the ignition on, without starting the car. Use the remote transmitter that came with the repeater to program the car, and the Homelink module in my 2015 XKR gave me a fast flash. I then had to hit the "Learn" button on my garage door opener and press the Homelink button in my car. It took 3 tries and then the Homelink module synced with the garage door opener. Hope this helps other 2015 XK and XKR owners.

I have 2 openers, one is the newer rotating code (Wife's side) and one is old school dip switches.
I've tried a dozen times, many different ways. Followed 2 diff video instructions (Older guy from Australia included) and zero luck.
Am I doomed to get a new opener or keep a clicker in my car?
I'll say I find it weird, since my old school was the type that was around when my 2008 was released.
Anyone know if all of them are the same from 2007-2015?
