Funny I bought a new liftmaster wifi unit 2 years ago. I could sync up my 2010 Lexus and my kids 2015 Audi A4 but my 2012 XKR would not work. I had to call the liftmaster hot line and complained about it and they sent me one of their converters. Got everything working and it's all good to go.
Thank you for the great write up. I finally got our Chamberlin unit to program to my 2012 XKR. Now the girlfriend wants me to program her 2011 Cayenne (and new wireless keypad).
You mentioned that one should program multiple home links at one time? Same exact time? Or one at a time within minutes of each other?
The only way I could get my 2015 XKR to work with my Chamberlain 2015 garage door opener was to purchase the HomeLink bridge repeater kit 855lm. Amazon Prime for about $25. Fought with the car and the garage door opener for about 3 hours attempting to program without the bridge. With the bridge the car was synced and operating correctly in less than 5 minutes. Home link indicates that any opener with a "yellow" wire antenna hanging from it (mine has yellow) will need the bridge. You find this in the small print after answering all the questions on the HomeLink web page told me I shouldn't need the bridge. I thought $25 was worth a roll of the dice. Works perfectly. Hope this helps.
2015 XKR, with 2012 model Chamberlain Opener.
Finally got mine to work…tried everything. Maybe I’m just stupid. But, Then I asked ChatGpt. She gave me these instructions, which I followed exactly. And voila! It works!!
Step 1: Clear Existing Codes (If Needed)If your Homelink system has been previously programmed, you may want to reset it:
1. Turn the ignition to the on position (but don’t start the car).
2. Press and hold the first and third Homelink buttons until the indicator light flashes rapidly (about 20 seconds).
3. Release the buttons. The system is now cleared.
Step 2: Program the Homelink Button
1. Hold your Chamberlain remote (confirm it works properly to your door opener)close to the Homelink buttons (a few inches away).
2. Press and hold the desired Homelink button in your Jaguar.
3. While holding it, also press and hold the button on your Chamberlain remote until the Homelink indicator light flashes slowly, then rapidly (this can take up to 30 seconds). Yup…mine took a long time..
4. Release both buttons. This step stores the signal in the car’s memory.
Step 3: Sync with the Garage Opener (If Needed)
Many Chamberlain openers use a rolling code system, requiring an extra step:
1. Press and release the “Learn” button on your Chamberlain garage door opener unit (usually located on the back or side panel).
2. You have 30 seconds to return to the car and press the programmed Homelink button three times (holding for a second each time). Remember you only have 30 seconds to fully complete this step.
3. The garage door should respond, confirming successful programming.
If the door doesn’t respond, repeat Step 3 to ensure the rolling code synchronization worked.
I have a 2015 Jaguar XKR, and a newer LiftMaster 8500W Garage door opener. I tried numerous times following the instructions listed above and on other threads. Unfortunately, nothing worked. I had to buy a LiftMaster 855lM Homelink Repeater Kit (
) so that I could program my car's Homelink module. I followed the instructions from the Jaguar owner's manual, and on 2015 cars, you have to have the ignition on, without starting the car. Use the remote transmitter that came with the Repeater, and the Homelink module in my 2015 XKR gave me a fast flash. I then had to hit the "Learn" button on my garage door opener and press the Homelink button in my car. It took 3 tries and then the Homelink module synced with the garage door opener. Hope this helps other 2015 XK and XKR owners. Homelink repeater

I did it the easy way. I keep a remote that came with my garage door opener in my armrest. No need to program the Homelink in my car.
Well at least I'm not the only one stuck old school, thanks Stuart.
I've tried the above steps in the thread on my ancient Liftmaster. At least a dozen different times. Nada.
Guess I'm stuck with the clicker for now.
