Trying to establish the code for the gearbox on the Ckr v reg please

I t was suggested to me it’s a Merc box because of the extra power , just trying to confirm that .

Welcome to the forum alfapat,
I used the VIN to determine that you probaby don't have an X150. The twelfth character in an X150 VIN is always B not A.
I then used the v reg to deduce you have an XKR registered in the UK between 1st September 1999 and 29th February 2000. If so, you have an X100.

I used the VIN to determine that you probaby don't have an X150. The twelfth character in an X150 VIN is always B not A.
I then used the v reg to deduce you have an XKR registered in the UK between 1st September 1999 and 29th February 2000. If so, you have an X100.

one of the securing screws have corroded with the aluminium keepers and sheared off ! Have managed to screw two nuts on it and doesn’t budge. I think the only thing remains is a little heat .....very trick given the amount of oil about , any suggestions please?

Ok to extract the remaining stud fro the transmission sump clamp which snapped off at the head , I used an old exhaust sheid panel to shield heat from the remaining transmission and heated up a doubled nut locked to the thread of the stud briefly , let the heat transfer to the block and after the third attempt slowly withdrew the stud , you have to be careful though! Wish someone would use anti seize when assembling steel next to alloy ! A disaster waiting to happen on older cars !

Does anyone know what the torque settings are for the sump bolts , it’s a Merc box .

Although it’s a 17 yr old car it is needing to get treatment, it’s not s daily drive and hasn’t been used much in the winter. What your seeing is an old exhaust shield I used to surround the stud for heating the bolt so that the transmission oil left after draining it won’t catch fire !
