Default How to "pair" your iPhone to hear music on the earlier X150

Friends,

I have found a way to listen to my iPhone library music on my 2007 XKR pairing it with the car, using a bluetooth device.

First I ordered a 3-5mm wireless bluetooth Auxiliary Adapter and also 3-5mm jack to twin phono cable that I used to make the connection between the adapter and the auxiliary port inside the center cubby box (harm rest).

Then we pair it with the phone and enjoy!

Here are the links to eBay:

2m PURE OFC 3.5mm Jack to Twin/2 Phono Cable Lead GOLD

It looks to me like you didn't pair it to the car but another blue teeth device.

Yes, that's why I wrote it between quotation marks, i.e.,meaning lato sensus: "pair".

It is the only way I know to listen to my iPhone music trough the car's system without having to connect it via cables.

If you know of a better way, I'll be glad to learn.

...Or maybe in step of criticizing, you could thank me later...

I don't think he was criticizing you. Just looking to understand.

I decided to pick up this adapter from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LXSY3YN/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LXSY3YN/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can charge 2 iPhones/droids simultaneously ( work & personal ) and Bluetooth WAZE, Pandora, and phone calls. Can simply answer phone pressing top button or go fwd/rwd songs Etc...
18 bucks

That's a good option by the look of it.

McJagg The unit you bought from Amazon - are you plugging it in the ashtray lighter slot? No problem with clearance? Also, I understand from the Amazon description that it is compatible with IPhone 6plus. Are you playing your music from your IPhone through your car speakers using this little unit?

Thanks, Dan Veenstra (2007 XK Convertible)

I have no problems with mine and sound quality is great. Heck for the price - it's worth it just for an iPhone charger
Plays music and love using it for speakerphone on cell. I stream Pandora and Amazon - no issues.
Clearance is not a big deal. It keeps the ashtray open. Only thing is you need to find the sweet spot when plugging it into the hole for it to power on.

Hi My Excursion,

I bought one of those adapters called a "Bluetooth FM Transmitter with dual USB Ports". I'm having trouble getting my IPhone 6 plus to recognize the Transmitter when it's plugged in to the working cigarette receptacle. Any thoughts?

Also, the instructions (page 4) says when it is plugged into the lighter receptacle "The LED displays the voltage of car battery for 5 seconds. Then the device enters into Bluetooth pairing mode." Actually, there isn't an LED display on the unit. There is a plastic label that has 88.8 printed on it. It is merely a label that is easily removed. Any thoughts about that?

This thread got me to finally investigate the AUX button on my touch-screen. Spent a few minutes looking for a hidden 3.5mm jack. Nothing. Then, did a search with the phone (Droid) for Bluetooth devices and - Bingo! - I have Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to a previous owner.
