I have an '07 XK convertible with Sentas. I added the 20mm front and 15mm back H&R set up last year. I like the look and have experienced no noticeable ill effects. I don't track it or even drive aggressively. I doubt the vast majority of drivers would notice much performance change. She drives as good as she ever did for me.

Your steering is actually worse, but by a very slight margin. The wider track may feel better though, both front and rear.

It depends on how you define 'worse' I guess. In my car, with the 20 mm / 15 mm spacers, the steering feels a little 'sharper', by which I guess I mean 'more direct'. It responds a little faster to driver input. But it's small. I quite like that, but others may not. Overall, my feeling about this mod is that it is 95% cosmetic and 5% performance-related. I'm happy I did it.

I happened on this post while doing offset/wheel research for my new (to me) 2015 XKR. I am trying to figure out the optimal offset for the rear since the rear dif makes the offsets different from my previous 2007 XKR.

With that said, my 2007 was modified using Spires lowering springs and aftermarket wheels and I thought I would add some data points.

My aftermarket wheels on the 2007 had the following specs:

Front: 20x9 +40 offset (pushed the wheel out 14.5mm)
Rear: 20x10.5 +25 offset (pushed the wheel out 18.5mm)

I did not have any rubbing with 285-30-20's in the rear and 255-35-20's in the front.

Pics can be found here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...mplete-202923/

Hope someone finds this helpful!

Be aware if you don't lower the car wheel spacers make the car look horrible ie 4x4

QUOTE=Mike V;751714]I noticed this when I added the wider wheels... The more the wheels come out, optically the fender gap looks bigger!

So, I agree with spacing and lowering together.
