Default I finally pulled the trigger...

and bought a 2008 XKR. Midnight with tan interior, 19" wheels, CPO with 23k miles.

I've been trying to convince myself to be practical and not buy a fun car but my wife pushed me the other way and I have to admit I really love this car! I bought the car on Monday and have been loving life ever since!!

I'm really impressed with the ride, power and even the audio system (alpine). It's a pleasure commuting to work every day...okay so it's only been one day so far

Some observations:
The side mirrors are way too big...any options out there for nice replacements?
Guys in BMW's and Mercedes sedans wish their wife forced them to get a Jag instead
This car is downright beautiful! My neighbor just bought a new Audi S5 and is now kicking himself as is his wife!
My 7 yr old daughter can fit in the back with an adult in the passenger seat as well...not great for long distances but she had enough room to play her Nintendo.
This car sounds awesome! I've had a number of cars but I realized I've never owned one with a v8.

I look forward to learning more about the car and planning out some future upgrades!

Congratulations Dan - it is a beautiful car.

Looks like you have the Jupiter wheels - how do you like those?

I like the Jupiter wheels and with the roads here in Houston I prefer them over the 20" mostly for fear of damage from potholes and cracks. I'm not one to go overboard with wheels so these fit me fine. There was a nice silver XKR with the 20" Senta wheels at the dealership as well and I really liked those wheels mostly because they were wider and seemed to fill out the rear wheel wells better.

Dan, congrats on the new XKR. You can get practical later when your daughter doesn't fit in the back seat. Have fun with it and be safe.

Congratulation! I did the same thing last year.
It does make you feel good driving a beautiful car.
