Default Infotainment issues

I have a 2007 XKR. 1st time issue. The infotainment system seems to be unable to boot. Upon further investigation, I determined that the DVD player is trying read the DVD but evidently is not reading it. I tried to eject the DVD to no avail.
what to do now?

Ok, we need some clarification. There is a DVD player in the trunk for the navigation system. The infotainment stack of the center console contains a six disc CD player. Which one are you referring to?

There are several threads here on how to address it yourself using the bypass loop. Your other option is a mechanic. You could unplug the nav unit and wait a few minutes, then plug it back in to see if that will allow you to eject it. How did you determine the Navigation system was trying to read the DVD?

Thanks Sean. I did unplug and plugged it back in. Same thing. I can hear the dvd trying to read. Just keep clicking. Meanwhile, the screen keeps flashing on and off.

Disconnect the orange fiber optic loop from you navigation module and connect the bypass to the orange fiber optic line you disconnected. Your screen should stop blinking. you will no longer have navigation. If the blinking stops, you need to replace the nav unit. Before you reconnect the fiber optic line, try ejecting the disk because you'll need it.
