Default Jaguar x150 xk 4.2 coupe 2007 retrofit 2010 front bumper

Hi guys! i have an XK 4.2 naturally aspirated production 2007 SAJAC43F985B23804 and wish to upgrade to the 2010 front bumper (the model with the same headlights) since my front bumper is broken and need replacement anyway. Can you confirm if it can be done and whether the mounting brackets are the same as well as lower plastic tray? i note the mesh grills: middle, lower and both side air vent grills must be purchased separately and the fog lights deleted. anyone done it before? is it straight forward? can the front fog lights be disabled by means of coding or removing of a fuse?

Thank you.

Hi Peter! thank you for sharing your thread!! very helpful!! so if i got it right, you needed to replace the under tray plastic with that of a 2010-2011 model C2P15023. The inner wheel arch plastic fenders front parts C2P21374 and C2P21375 from a 2010 - 2011 model also had to be replaced..Understood that you kept your original mounting metal brackets left and right which you had to unfix from previous bumper, modify with additional drilled holes and got it fixed it XK 2010 -2011 bumper is that right?

Apart from the above parts and interventions, are there anything else you had to change or modify to complete the work?

Thank you,

Pat 63

If u do it that way,say good bye to your fog lights unless u don't care for using them.But other than that,it would fit.You can even make it look like the last generation xk if u change the fenders,front bumper,and headlights off to last gen from what i heard

Yes

Not that I can think of.
Parts are expensive so get a complete bumper as possible

If you are in Europe - I have a complete 2010 front bumper (with a Speedpack front splitter). Ultimate black. Ready to put on a car.

Did 2010 -> 2012+ conversion

See!I knew it would all fit to make the older generation look like the newer last generation👽But if i was this guy,i would REALLY want this bumper from you that comes with that expensive front splitter on it since he's trying to make it look like the 4th gen💯😎

The 2010 bumper cover upgrade with original head lights will do the job since i prefer the preface lift headlights although i have a concern whether a 2010 bumper with brackets will be a straight swap since my right bracket is broken i will not be able to swap brackets. i will definitely need to source a 2010 bumper cover with at least both brackets on it and fingers crossed it will slip on smoothly... i can always source the 2010 plastic under tray and front plastic inner liners.... ideally if i can source a 2010 bumper cover with the grill upper, grill lower in place (both chrome would be great!) as well as both mesh grills side and the four sensor brackets also in place i would be overwelmed!!! any why not with a speedpack front splitter build in too that would be the cherry on the cake!! but my concern for now are the 2010 bumper cover bracket compatibility...
