Default Long Distance Operation of your Key Fob

Once you have seen this, you will be heading out to your car to
see if it works. .
. .
This is well done. A useful piece of knowledge, tempered with
humor.
Might come in useful if you're being
chased.......
So much for the old saying, "You have water on the
brain."
That will be interesting to everyone especially we seniors, who
forget where we parked our cars, if your car can be opened and locked with an
electronic key. Just because you are not a senior, still watch this
video and learn something that may be useful to you.
The wave length of the electronic key is limited to a certain
distance.
If you want to expand it, learn the trick by watching this video.
You won't forget it.

Call me crazy, but, it does work. When no one was looking, I held my key fob (Venza) up to my temple and pressed the rear door lift button. Dang, if it didn't start to raise and I was further away than ever before.
Skeptics need to try this......my GF was amazed!

SUPER skeptical so I waited until dark and nobody could see me. Sure enough, it DOES work. Surprised the heck out of me. Now I can lower the roof from nearly one hundred feet away.
edit: No, it's more like 150-180 feet.

I remember Jeremy Clarkson demonstrating this on Top Gear.

I used to put it on my chin, but I wonder if it works better on your head.

Has anyone considered that putting the fob to someplace
around your head just happens to raise the height of the
fob? All radios work better when raised.

Try this one though:

through a commercial steel firedoor set in concrete
and across 15 parking bays, with the tail away from
the door.

Works for me

Figured it out by accident one day.

Clicked the fob before opening the door and the car did the unlock double chirp.

Hmm, interesting ... clicked the fob again and the car did the lock chirp.

Good thing for those who can never remember if they locked the car
before exiting the garage
